ABOUT US
The Plano Art Association (PAA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering creativity, education, and connection through the visual arts. Founded in 1974, PAA has been a cornerstone of the local arts community for more than 50 years, bringing together artists of all ages and experience levels, from young emerging talents to lifelong creatives.
We provide opportunities for artistic growth through exhibitions, juried shows, workshops, and community programs, cultivating a supportive, artist-centered environment where members can develop their skills, share their work, and build meaningful connections. Whether you are just beginning your artistic practice or are an established artist, PAA offers a welcoming, professional space to explore, learn, and grow.
Through our programs and outreach, we work in collaboration with our members, partners, and the broader community to enrich the cultural life of our region and help ensure that the visual arts remain accessible, vibrant, and inspiring for all.
Our Mission
We are dedicated to encouraging the development and appreciation of the visual arts through education, connection, and creative opportunities for our members and our community. We build awareness of local talent and inspire engagement with the visual arts by sharing the joy, passion, and beauty of art in Plano and beyond.
Our Organization
Monthly General Membership gatherings are typically held on the fourth Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Connect with fellow art makers and art enthusiasts while learning about upcoming exhibitions, programs, and special events.
The Board of Directors generally convenes on the Tuesday prior to the General Membership gathering, with additional sessions scheduled as needed. All PAA members are invited and encouraged to attend these open board meetings.
